Find your quiet corner of nature at Peace River Campground in Arcadia, Florida. Our wilderness—also called primitive—sites let you camp off‑grid along the riverbank with no water or electric hookups. It’s the perfect basecamp for stargazing, paddling, and getting back to nature in Southwest Florida.

What to Expect
- Off‑grid camping: No water or electric hookups.
- Drive‑in access: Sites are reached by vehicle; several are located along the riverbank and are popular with tent campers.
- Campfires: Campfires Are allowed. Please utilize the existing burn spot if feasible.
- 4×4 recommended: Most wilderness areas require four‑wheel drive. Two‑wheel‑drive vehicles should remain closer to the front; vehicles without 4×4 may get stuck.
Rates & Occupancy
$24 per adult, per night. Kids 15 and under in your family are free. We allow up to 2 free kids per paid adult.
Trails & Vehicles
We allow ATVs, SxS, and golf carts and offer many trails for riding. Please follow posted signage and safety rules.
NO GLASS containers or bottles allowed in campground. Just because our name says “Peace River” there are many weekends it is NOT peaceful. If you’re looking to camp in a secluded wooded area and get back to nature, we are most likely not the place for you. We allow atv’s, sxs and golf carts and offer many trails for them to ride.

Wilderness Etiquette
Keep noise to a minimum, respect wildlife, and be considerate of neighboring campers. Fires must be fully extinguished before you leave your site or turn in for the night.

Can I bring a generator?
No. Generators are not allowed anywhere in the wilderness or campground.
Are campfires allowed?
Yes—only where a previous fire ring exists. Please reuse the same spot and fully extinguish your fire.
Do I need 4×4 to reach the sites?
4×4 is strongly recommended for most wilderness areas. Two‑wheel‑drive vehicles should remain closer to the front; non‑4×4 vehicles can get stuck.
Are glass containers allowed?
No. Glass bottles or containers are not allowed anywhere on the property.
Where can I get firewood?
Firewood is sold in our camp store. Cutting trees or branches is prohibited.
Can I ride ATVs, SxSs, or golf carts?
Yes. We allow ATVs, SxSs, and golf carts and offer many trails. Please follow posted rules and ride responsibly.
