Campground Rules & Guidelines for a Safe and Enjoyable Stay
At Peace River Campground, we want every guest to enjoy a safe, relaxing, and memorable experience. Our campground rules help protect the natural beauty of our property, ensure the safety of all visitors, and maintain the friendly atmosphere we’re known for. Please take a moment to review these guidelines before your stay so we can all share in a fun, respectful camping environment.
General Info
- Check-in time: 1:00pm
- Check-out time: 11:00am. Late stay until dusk for $15, if site is available
- Quiet Hours: 10:00pm – 8:00am. Please be considerate of your neighbors.
- All vehicles MUST register at office.
- Garbage Collection: We have complimentary trash bags. Put your trash near the road before 5:00pm and we’ll pick it up. You may also take your trash to the Raccoon Restaurant.
- Pets: Your well mannered pets are allowed, provided they are on a leash, at all times. Do not leave pets unattended. You are responsible for picking up after them.
- Campfires: Small fires are permitted. Use existing fire sites only. DO NOT DIG HOLES. Firewood is for sale at the office. DO NOT CUT DOWN TREES!
- NO Chainsaws are permitted.
- NO lawn mowers are permitted.
- Clotheslines: are allowed during daylight hours ONLY! Must be taken down by dusk.
- ATV’s, Side by Sides and Golf Carts require each rider and driver to have a wristband. Wristbands are sold in the office. All riders must sign a liability waiver. Wristbands are $15 per rider. ATV’s are NOT to be driven after dusk. Golf carts and SXS can ride until 10 pm. DIRT BIKES/Off Road Motorcycles, 3 wheelers, Mud Jeeps & Mud Trucks, Swamp Buggies, Dune Buggies and excessively loud recreational vehicles are NOT PERMITTED.Firearms and fireworks are NOT PERMITTED on campground property.
- LP Gas is dispensed during office hours
- Swimmers please dry off before entering store
- Generators are NOT ALLOWED in the campground
- NO GLASS CONTAINERS or BOTTLES in campground. You will be asked to pour glass drinks into a cup.
ATV & Vehicle Operation Rules
- Speed Limit: 9.5 MPH EVERYWHERE! No vehicle operation over 9.5 MPH.
- NO donuts, wheelies or other wild riding in any vehicle is allowed anywhere on the property.
- Vehicles can only be operated on the roads inside the campground. If you don’t know if it’s a road, don’t use it. You may not cut through other campsites or bother anyone. Do not drive on grassy areas. Do not take off property for any reason.
- All vehicles will be operated with only the number of people it was designed for.
- Only Golf Carts and SXS can be operated after dusk (defined as sunset) but no later than 10:00pm.
- All non-licensed vehicles may not be operated after 10:00pm or before 8:00am, which are campground quiet hours. Auxiliary vehicles are not allowed past the front gate nor allowed to drive in the river.
- Wristbands are required for ALL riders and passengers and must be worn on the left wrist.
- Minor age operators/passengers will be the responsibility of the adults they are camping with who signs the agreement. It is the adult’s responsibility to supervise the operation of the minor and vehicle.
- Operators must agree to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings, and further agree to follow any oral instructions or directions given by Peace River Campground owners, employees and representatives.
- Operators will recognize that there are certain inherent risks associated with the above described activity and will assume full responsibility for personal injury, including death, to thyself and (if applicable) your family members and further release and discharge Peace River Campground, for injury, loss or damage arising out of your use or your family’s use of or presence upon the facilities of Peace River Campground whether caused by the fault of ones self, your family, Peace River Campground or other third party.
- You agree to indemnify and defend Peace River Campground against all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments, costs or expenses, including attorney fees and other litigation costs which may in any way arise from your or your family’s negligent, reckless or willful actions.
- You agree to pay all damages to the facilities of Peace River Campground caused by you or your family’s negligent, reckless or willful actions. You have read this agreement and understand it. You further understand that by you signing this release you voluntary surrender certain legal rights by signing Peace River Campground’s waiver.
- Operators in violation of these rules will have their wristband revoked without refund but may be allowed to purchase another the next day.
- Operators/passengers are not entitled to warning.
